so theres this all-white party in a few weeks. major deal to me because my attendance is only to support a friend. :) so on the search for the past few trying to decide on "a look". with no such luck. was thinking a simple white dress with major shoes & accessories. but couldnt find the perfect l.w.d. & this night doesnt quite call for "simple gal" anyway. so thanks to catching up on the blogs tonight-the wheels started turning...

national dress up day

never posted my lonely halloween pics. whatashame. i was the kid who didnt really celebrate the holiday growing up. fast forward to attending the "arts"school and halloween was taken veryseriously. art students. 3 of us diy'd our own powerpuff girl costumes and came to school dressed as the cartoon superchicks. the funniest thing about that was i had to take the bus to the neighborhood hs first and well-they didnt celebrate as we did. insert a lot of strange looks, and random comments. bedifferentbiches. the tallest kid in school was wheres waldo. rip patrick. that pic landed in my long lost yearbook. ah high school. the goodoledays.

delray beach tonight. such a great little area. was in the arts district. of course. perfect place to take pictures for the [revamped] blog. yes, still tweaking. if i had a camera. yes, me no camera! nevertheless popped into a great art gallery and was instantly in my zone. intrigued by zhe zi and jerry trueman. officially an art gallery junkie. somewhere between the last art history class and happening upon the gallery on campus while i was searching for the theatre prof. the atmosphere was about perfect. with the historical look locale, would be a great location for photography-especially the pub that looks like it was plucked straight from old london. i tried thai for what i think is the first time. and duck. such a toddler when it comes to trying new foods but i went for it. ha. and the weather was finally standable. i am so a north florida girl. give me my seasons back. anyhoo. since im wide awake and since i couldnt capture tonight on film- for the heck of it here is last night. all dressed up. nowhere to go.

there are some art-eests from another era among us. so beautiful in their creativity.
these stylistas who make magic with their fabric and colors and sky high stilettos. reminds me of little me. when i had an imagination and would cut up clothes, wear things backwards. wrapping yards of fabric making 'couture dresses'. what happened? having a ball discovering these little hideouts of girly paradise. rumi@ fashiontoast, rebecca@clotheshorse. fashionpaths. suzy@stylebubble. and how could i ever forget the glamourai. i am in love. truly deeply madly. now that i consider myself a fashionista by any means. please. still trying to figure out how not to live in denim. i♥myjeans. but it has opened up my box and given me that 'little me' inspiration for coloring outside the lines. have i said i love? and now. we play dress up in the closet.
